Devin Haney secured the WBC Super lightweight strap by outclassing Regis Prograis unanimously on the scorecard (107-120 by all three judges) for all 12 rounds. On his first-ever appearance at 140 lbs, Haney seemed flawless and dominated his opponent briefly. He also floored Regis Prograis in round three.

That said, Devin Haney pocketed a lucrative paycheck of millions and has now advanced his professional record to 31-0.  Although the numbers aren’t official yet, Devin Haney seemingly made more than $5 million from his recent appearance.

Per reports, 25-year-old ‘Dream’ Haney was guaranteed $ 6 million for the fight against Regis Prograis along with an additional PPV share. Despite being the defending champion of the WBC 140 lbs strap, Regis Prograis was guaranteed a smaller financial digit. However, he also benefitted from PPV shares which turned his net income to more than $1 million at least.

During his clash against Vasiliy Lomachenko, Haney could rake up to $4 million. He clearly has improvised his financial game. While ‘Haney has now become an undefeated two-weight champion, he is expected to make more money in the future.
