Max Verstappen, the three-time world champion’s helmet design, portrays his style on the track and respect for his Dutch roots.
Although the crash helmet’s design is mostly based on his original helmet design, certain color improvements have given it a Dutch look. It is still mostly white in shade and has red and blue highlights on either side that come up in the center, symbolizing the Dutch Flag.
Although they are extremely bold and visible, the two huge Red Bull symbols on either side fit the flag idea and overall design well.
In an interview with the Talking Red Bull podcast, the team principal Christian Horner says, People became to love that, and he became hugely popular towards the end of his career. Max is a completely different character. He wears his heart on his sleeve and he has a lion painted on the top of his helmet for a reason. He drives like a lion.
Despite getting mixed reviews, Max Verstappen’s helmet represents him as a race driver and honoring his country.
