Edwards has been undefeated for eight years now, aiming for his second successful title defense since becoming the champion. He is an elite striker who can trade shots with any man in his division. His performance reflected a sheer improvement in the rematch against Kamaru Usman.  On the contrary, Colby Covington has been inactive for over a year. This can play a pivotal role in the fight as ‘Rocky’ has been more active than ‘Chaos’.
