UFC is renowned for hosting the baddest fighters on the planet, showcasing what they’re made of. Interestingly, many Dagestani fighters have graced the UFC octagon, and two of the biggest superstars from the land of mountains are Islam Makhachev and Khabib Nurmagomedov. 

Due to their close bond and shared journey from the beginning to where they are now, many fans are curious about their relationship. Many have the question: are they brothers or not? To answer simply, no, they are not brothers by blood. However, they are like a family. Let’s delve into more details about it.

Khabib Nurmagomedov and Islam Makhachev are not brothers

The two Dagestani Khabib and Islam are known for their skills as MMA fighters. While both have known each other well since childhood and have trained together, and aspired to make it big together. And they have done it together under the guidance of Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov, Khabib’s father.

Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov had a strategic plan for both Khabib and Islam. First, Khabib would dominate the world of fighting, and then Islam would follow in his footsteps to become a world champion. True to the plan, Khabib achieved this feat earlier, and after the dominant career with no loss he retired after his father’s passing

Subsequently, Islam took up the charge and embarked on his journey to become a champion, and he secured the title with guidance from Khabib, who coached him. And from nothing to something to everything they have achieved it all together.

Although they are not brothers by blood, Khabib Nurmagomedov and Islam Makhachev share a bond that goes beyond.
