A few out of 250 previously sealed documents relating to the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein have been released by a US court. After Judge Loretta Preska ruled they could be unsealed in December and no objections were made, the first set of court papers were published on 3 January. They largely consist of legal arguments and interviews carried out for Virginia Guiffre’s 2015 civil lawsuit against Epstein’s former lover Ghislaine Maxwell, who was sentenced to 20 years in prison for recruiting and grooming girls for him. Moreover, a former UFC star gave his controversial take on the Jeffrey Epstein list.

The officials released some of the evidence this week. In it are references to celebrities, politicians, and philanthropists. Many of them are not accused of wrongdoing. However, authorities believe they knew or associated with the late pedophile. Epstein was first arrested in 2005. Moreover, he was later found dead in his New York prison cell awaiting trial on further sex trafficking charges.

Several noteworthy celebrities have voiced their opinion on the topic. Former UFC star Jake Shields also joined the bracket.

Numerous celebrity names appeared on the Epstein list. Moreover, many could assert innocence and deny their involvement. However, Jake Shields contends that such assertions may be unfounded.

It would suck if you visited Epstein Island and didn’t fuck or sacrifice any children I feel like nobody would believe you

The newly unsealed documents are part of Epstein accuser Virginia Giuffre’s lawsuit against Ghislaine Maxwell. She is the financier’s former girlfriend who was convicted in December 2021. The arrest was made on the charges of sex trafficking and procuring teen girls for Epstein.

Before the unsealing, the names were listed in court papers as variants of J Doe. Moreover, the figures whose names are mentioned in the files released by a federal court have not been charged with any crime.
