There’s something about rivalries that makes everyone stop their work and be glued to watch that. From India vs. Pakistan to Conor McGregor vs. Khabib Nurmagomedov; they are watched by millions worldwide. Just like that, another rivalry is brewing on the internet. An Instagram beef has turned into a heated rivalry between Rajat Dalal and Rajveer Shishodia. After two days of continuous drama from these two big fitness influencers, Rajat has made a bold move, similar to McGregor, or perhaps even more so, by challenging Rajveer to a 2vs1 pay-per-view match. Let’s dive in to find out more about this.

Rajat Dalal vs Rajveer Shishodia: Is This India’s McGregor vs Nurmagomedov Moment in the Making?

In 2018, a beef in UFC altered their entire business landscape, drawing attention from around the world. The catalyst behind this shift? UFC 229: Conor McGregor vs Khabib Nurmagomedov. Similarly, without any MMA or boxing promotion involved, a similar rivalry is emerging in India, similar to McGregor vs Nurmagomedov. Here’s the rundown to the whole controversy.

  • Elvish Yadav vs Maxter controversy concluded, leading to Rajat Dalal challenging Nitesh Singh of Team S.O.S India.

  • Nitesh Singh addressed the rumored challenge, which then involved fitness YouTuber Rajveer Shishodia.

  • Rajveer responded with stories targeting Rajat and openly challenged him, opting for dialogue over action.

  • Rajveer and his gang traveled to Faridabad, Rajat’s city, but Rajat sent representatives to talk as he was elsewhere.

  • Video emerged of Rajat stating he had no issue with Rajveer despite the public challenge.

  • Rajveer’s fans mocked Rajat, claiming he was afraid, prompting Rajat to retaliate with live streams abusing Rajveer for insulting Jaat community and allegedly called him (r***ist), inviting him to settle the matter.

In their recent Instagram live session, Rajat, accompanied by Nakul Dhull (known for his comedy), openly challenged Rajveer. Rajat proposed resolving the issue either through discussion, with Rajveer apologizing for insulting the Jaat community, or settling it with a 2vs1 pay-per-view match.

It looks like they might go for a tag team boxing match, inspired by Misfits boxing. Interestingly, Indian boxer Neeraj Goyat suggested influencer boxing  as a solution. Which is possible given Rajat has shown his fighting skills in videos, like power slapping and strength, and his friend Nakul Dhull follows UFC really closely, giving Rajat an edge. Consequently, Rajat offered a year of training time before the fight if needed as Rajveer (despite the crazy strength might not have a combat skills like him). Now it’ll be interesting to see what happens next.
