Conor McGregor has crossed paths with Dustin Poirier on three different occasions and two separate weight classes. After knocking out ‘The Diamond’ at 145 lbs in year 2014, McGregor has suffered two back-to-back losses against his nemesis at 155 lbs in 2021.

The Irishman hasn’t fought since then. While the two now seem far from each other’s fighting radar, the rivalry might be far from being over. Conor McGregor has expressed his willingness to face Dustin Poirier, sending several fans into a frenzy.

The two-weight UFC champion took to social media and responded to several questions from his followers. When asked about another potential fight against Poirier, ‘Notorious’ didn’t hold himself back.

Conor McGregor wrote: “Let’s be real, it’s a must. Unfinished.”

The UFC superstar seems to have deleted his tweet. However, fans were quick to take note of it and be optimistic about the quadrilogy between Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier. The trilogy bout ended unfortunately after McGregor broke his ankle during the bout.

He misplanted his foot which urged the referee to call it a doctor stoppage although Poirier had punched McGregor a couple of times. During the post-fight interview, Conor McGregor took verbal shots at Poirier’s wife and called out for another fight against his American opponent. It seems that the Irish fighter is still serious about it.
