After Leon Edwards vs Colby Covington finishes off the year 2023 at UFC 296, Sean Strickland will keep his middleweight belt at stake against Dricus Du Plessis in January at UFC 297.

After a long time, there will be a UFC middleweight title bout happening without Israel Adesanya. Following that, featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski will defend his belt against Ilia Topuria at UFC 298 in February.

At UFC 299, Sean O’Malley will rematch Marlon Vera to retain his bantamweight title. The UFC has lined up its events up until UFC 299. However, the undercard fights are yet to be announced.

The Irishman was negotiating a comeback this year. However, it did not occur for a variety of reasons. According to reports, McGregor has even entered the testing pool, adding to the certainty of his return to action.
