UFC 300, MMA’s milestone event next year, finally has both a date and location. Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) will be staging its blockbuster UFC 300 pay-per-view (PPV) fight card on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, with preliminary card bouts streaming on both ESPN+ and ESPN at 6 p.m. ET and 8 p.m. ET. It will be followed up by the PPV main card, also on ESPN+, at 10 p.m. ET.

A clip of an Instagram live White conducted was just shared on the platform. It featured the UFC head honcho, promising to reveal further details on what is expected to be the most notable MMA pay-per-view of 2024.

And so he did. UFC 300 has its first three official fights. Let’s take a look at how the card is shaping up to be.

Confirmed fights

UFC CEO Dana White announced Thursday night on social media that former light heavyweight champion Jiri Prochazka will face Aleksandar Rakić and former bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling will move up to featherweight to fight Calvin Kattar at UFC 300 on April 13 in Las Vegas. In addition, top prospect Bo Nickal will face Cody Brundage.

White said none of the three bouts will be the main or co-main event of the pay-per-view card, which promises to be one of the biggest in UFC history.

There were several other fight announcements from White. At UFC 298 on February 17 in Anaheim, California, former middleweight champion Robert Whittaker will take on former title challenger Paulo Costa. The previously announced bout between Ian Machado Garry and Geoff Neal will also be moved to UFC 298, White said.

However, there are several rumors grabbing attention across social media. Thus, raising a few questions in the minds of the fans. One of them is if the UFC poster boy Conor McGregor will make his long-anticipated comeback at the hyped-up event.

Nate Diaz’s UFC days might not be done. In a brief social media post, Diaz teased having interest in returning to the promotion he called home for 15 years, writing, “UFC 300 would be tight but there’s nobody to fight.”

Israel Adesanya could fight before 2027 after all. The former UFC middleweight king might also have a dance partner in the undefeated Khamzat Chimaev.
